Close the Arts Access Gap

Fresh off another remarkable year of service, we know the impact City Hearts makes. In our most recent student survey, 83% of K-8 students reported having little to no access to arts education outside of City Hearts, including 62% who reported having no access at all.

For more than 40 years, City Hearts has been closing the arts access gap by providing free, high-quality arts education and arts experiences to underserved elementary, middle, and high school students across Los Angeles County.

We go beyond the classroom, exposing students to creative careers and expanding their artistic horizons through Field Trips, Guest Artist Masterclasses, and Culminating Showcases that inspire confidence, creativity, and possibility.

During the 2025-26 school year, City Hearts delivered more than 1,000 classes to approximately 1,000 students representing nearly 20 schools across Los Angeles County. Students also participated in 13 field trips, 10 Guest Artist Masterclasses, and multiple culminating events that celebrated their growth and achievements.

As we launch the 2026-27 school year, your support is more important than ever. Together, we can ensure that more underserved Los Angeles youth experience the proven social, emotional, academic, and creative benefits of arts education.
